Die in Zusammenarbeit mit Kailh-Ingenieuren entwickelte Schalterreihe Ambients funktioniert auf jeder Tastatur, die mit Choc V1 kompatibel ist. Ja, Sie haben richtig gelesen, sowohl die Tastenkappenschnittstelle als auch der PCB-Footprint bleiben gegenüber früheren Choc V1-Schaltern unverändert, sodass Ihre vorhandene Tastatur diese neuen Schalter verwenden kann.

Die Ambients basieren auf dem originalen Kailh Choc V1-Schalter, sind jedoch ein völlig neues Design, bei dem alle Teile neu gestaltet wurden, um die neuen Komponenten aufzunehmen, die zur Geräuschdämpfung des typischen Schalters erforderlich sind. Silikonpuffer wurden im neuen Design strategisch platziert, um sowohl den Abwärts- als auch den Aufwärtshub eines Tastendrucks abzufedern, ohne dabei ein matschiges Gefühl beim Tippen zu erzeugen.

Finally good low profile switches

Was disappointed with the original low profile choc red switches that came with my board. Thought maybe I just didn't like low profile boards. These are a game changer. Love my board now.

Great but not perfect

I recently switched keyboards from a Lofree Flow (Ghost switches) to a Corne keyboard with Choc Reds. The reds were horrible to type and I was hoping to find some switches that would be similar to the Ghosts in Lofree Flow.

The Ambient Twilights aren't as good as the Ghosts but they are quiet and a lot smoother than the choc reds. The twilights are a little scratchy and a bit too light for my typing preference.

I've since lubricated the twilights and swapped the springs from the choc reds and I can say this is a really quiet typing experience. They certainly do not feel like the Ghosts but this is probably the best you'll get on the Choc v1 switches.

My favorite switche

I have tried a number of low profile switches and migrated to Purplz and Red Pros, since I like the feel of linear switches. However, these switches are a little scratchy and noisy compared to the box silent MX switches I used to use.

The ambient switches are smooth and very quiet. I have wireless and a wired ferris sweep, and I will never use anything else moving forward unless someone comes out with a switch that is even smoother and quieter.
