Im kontinuierlichen Bestreben, Benutzern von Low-Profile-Tastaturen schöne Dinge zu bieten, ist Lowprokb stolz, ein neues Tastenkappenprofil anbieten zu können, um den Wünschen derjenigen gerecht zu werden, die sich beim Tippen ein OEM- oder Cherry-Erlebnis wünschen.
Das DDC-Profil wurde von Lowprokb entwickelt, um die traditionellen zylindrischen Profile zu emulieren, während es vollständig an Low-Profile-Choc-V1-Abstände und Schalter angepasst ist.
Die Tastenmulden sind bequem und die Textur des PBT-Kunststoffs fühlt sich angenehm an. Wer von einem traditionellen zylindrischen Profil ausgeht, wird bei DDC genau richtig sein.
DDC kann als Testprodukt betrachtet werden. Wenn das Profil gut angenommen wird, beabsichtigen wir, das Angebot um Mod-, Daumen- und Leertasten sowie bei Bedarf um Legenden zu erweitern.
DDC wird aus hochwertigem PBT-Kunststoff spritzgegossen und ist daher sehr widerstandsfähig gegen Abnutzung und Glanz, der durch stundenlanges Tippen entsteht.
Hinweis: DDC-Tastenkappen haben einen „Choc-Spaced“, was bedeutet, dass sie nicht die gleichen Außenmaße wie eine typische Cherry MX-Tastenkappe haben. Der Schalterabstand auf Ihrer Tastatur sollte idealerweise 17 (H) x 18 (B) betragen. Choc-Tastenkappen passen auf eine herkömmliche MX-Tastatur, die Abstände zwischen den Tastenkappen sind jedoch nicht gleichmäßig.

DDCs are so much more natural than the MBKs I had before. They’re a bit tight on the switches, but how often are you really swapping your Choc keycaps anyway? Only thing to bear in mind is that, with how tight they fit, if your switches are soldered in then you may risk breaking the joints when removing the keycaps. But for how much of an improvement these are for comfort, it’s worth it.
Note that they are not vertically symmetrical - there is a correct orientation. The bottom edge of the keycap has a slightly longer slope.
i'm using choc v1 switches (from keebd) in a lily58. It has an acrylic top plate. Bought 3 packs of these for it but turns out they won't go into the switches because the caps will hit the top plate before 'digging' into the switch to catch. So now i've got 30 unused caps sitting around doing nothing. You can see in the photo how the legs are very short compared to the chocfox ones which i'm currently using but finding a handful of them not staying on the board but the rest seems to be okay (thus, the reason why i bought these caps to replace them).
It's a nice profile, for me much more comfortable than stock Glove80 keycaps. It does not mean, that original are bad, it's just my preference.
