The Ambients are based on the original Kailh Choc V1 switch, but are a completely new design, having all their parts redesigned to accommodate the new components required to quieten the typical switch noise. Silicone bumpers have been strategically placed within the new design to buffer both the down and the up stroke of a keypress, all while not creating a mushy feeling while typing.

Great switch. Very smooth and quiet.
On choc land I tried robins, whites and pinks, always liked the whites more so when I got into assembling my own split keyboards I bought a lot of white switches, thinking they'd be my endgame.
Well, these LowproKB custom made switches are a cut above the others, much more pleasant to type and converted me from clicky to linears (for now hehe).
Hopefully the already existing creations stay for sale for long (thanks keebd for making them available in AU) and hopefully newer creations also happen in the future as well. They are a bit more expensive but I think they're well worth their prices.
These switches actually convinced me to buy a choc keyboard. The Voyager came with Pro Reds; clacky and indistinct.
Swapped them out for Twilights; perfect. They respond like much heavier switches without the fatigue. Also, I'm not sure how a switch could be quieter than Twlights.
I use Kailh Silent Pinks in my Dygma Defy but it originally came with Silent Browns so it had Brown Chocs under the lower thumb cluster. I was not a fan. Swapped them for the Ambient Twilights; perfect. Now II see a ZSA Voyager in my future and it will have Twilights or maybe even Nocturnals.
Ambients line up is fantastic. Love the sound.
35gf is a nice sweet spot for super light with tactility to feed-back into your fingers and prompt you to head to the next key, best WPM I've had is on 35gf switches. 1.5/3mm short stroke also helps a lot too.
Lube made barely any difference to both stem and spring, but worth doing the stem since it's easier to access than MX style stems. Don't bother with the spring. Stem lube just smooths out the chalky sound a bit and brings out a little more marble.
There is a slight increase in resistance at the end if you bottom it out. Otherwise unremarkable linear feel. On the voyager it's generally got issues with inconsistent feel, so take with a pinch of salt.
