These soldering iron tip cleaners use steel wool which is cheap and easy to replace and is very effective at removing solder from your irons tip when working on your project. Some iron stations/stands come with sponges that dry up and are hard to clean.

Simply dip your irons tip into the steel wool and you are ready to go. Open up the bottom of the stainless steel tin and empty out the cooled solder pieces.
