Fun build, looks good. Build guide a teency bit lacking and qmk firmware seems to be created by Satan himself, but the community is great so that helps. LEDs were easier to solder then I thought they would be.

No more 10ft long coiled P/S2 cable! This upgrade is a drop in replacement for the original board. The only downside is that the right side of the board doesn't have anything to hold it down, so I had to some some double sided tape. My scroll lock and numpad LEDs are reversed, but otherwise no major issues.

This board is a good intermediary board or introductory board to split keyboards. From regular keyboards, I went to a pre-built 40%, then to this. Eventually, I'll probably move onto a low profile split keyboard with splays and column stagger which is why this is an intermediary board.
This board does have some problems. Due to the shortage of ProMicros, you'd have to recompile firmware for whatever microcontroller you picked up. The Helios that is sold here is really good for that and there are converters in the QMK repository.
Second, the guide is basically in Japanese. It's not too bad cause the pictures are very self-explanatory, but I wanted to mention that.
LEDs are hard to solder. This is just a general note. Any board with LEDs will face this issue. Make sure you have a good soldering iron that can regulate its temperature, good solder, and flux.
Once you've built the board, it's great! I made it work with VIAL so I don't have to reflash the firmware all the time and also so the board can be plugged in either side. Because it has the full 40 keys, you can play around with different setups. I was able to go from 40 to 36 keys and I can always add or remove keys quite easily. It's also very easy to mod. You can add 90 degree extenders, some phone stands on the bottom to tent the board, and cool keycaps.

Works as intended, pretty easy to install, wish it was usb c instead of usb b but the adapter I bought gets the job done, overall very nice wish I had done this sooner!

Im running these on a Piantor split ergo mech. If you like a tactile and you like choc these are the way to go. Very satisfying to type on. Received them promptly

Typed this review on this keyboard.

Giving my 1986 Model M (no indicator LEDs) some new life. 3d printed part is nicely done. For the 16+8 ribbon connectors, ensure the 8-pin connector is aligned with the left side of the connector, where it says "rows".

I was little concerned ordering from this site seeing how there isn't many reviews. Throughout the site. However, came completely as advertised. They even shipped it out of the facility within the same day I ordered my kit. Very impressed by that. It does sit high and very flat when using the base board. Would recommend arm rest. I 3D printed a bottom plate to put mine on an angle and lower to the table.

They are really tight in my choc reds and sunsets. The white ones are less tight. This might be a positive for portability, but be careful.

Gateron Oil Kings are my go-to switches whenever I want deep-sounding, reliable, linear switches, where RGB isn't required.
I have used them in several projects and they have been wonderful.

I have become a split keyboard enthusiast and am using dactyl manuform keebs at home, but it was a chore to lug that around. So recently with the release of the glove80 I was looking for some decent keycaps which would look nicer then the stock ones, which do not diffuse the rgb lighting. I ordered the R2 set in black and wow... what a difference. I still need to replace the function key row as you can see in the attached picture, but the difference is between the FK mbk R2 keycaps and the stock white ones is very visible. The homerow keys are much appreciated, they are optional though, if you do not want any bumps. I am a happy camper...

The build guide section has no guide. On github the instructions are so short as to not answer most common questions you may have. Very difficult.

Pretty powerful. Although I'm not expert on programming controllers, it was easy enough. Be aware that it expects uf2 files.

Very minimalist kit which was easy to put together and inexpensive. Perfect for an electronics enthusiast who wants to try 40% without spending too much. The final height is a little high so I would recommend a wrist rest.
