from 166 reviewsDid not come with any instructions on how to install or program but it's pretty straightforward. Worked perfectly right out of the box. No clue how reprogramming works, it was not something I was concerned about.
Low activation force clicky switch bought for a fightstick's buttons. Very good if you want frame perfect input in games compared to a linear switch. Do note that you can still "reactivate" the switch without depressing the button fully, as the activation distance is not exactly where the tactile bump is, meaning that you can re-input the button without fully resetting the button.
Nice sound, feels very good to press, can consistently pull off 10 EWGF's in a row and hand does not cramp when doing lots of input such as KBDs with this switch in tekken.
It's a nice profile, for me much more comfortable than stock Glove80 keycaps. It does not mean, that original are bad, it's just my preference.
I'm really happy with this purchase.
Used to build with some pcbs I ordered from JLC, turned out great. Only caveat is that you really do need to follow the guide and use spring headers or very low profile sockets, I used some lowish profile millmax-style sockets for my controllers with diode leg pins, and they were a little too high, the plate covering them had to be a little bent to get the screws in properly. Still works great though
Great split keyboard layout, nice kit.
First set of low profile switches after using Mx style for a long time. Really happy with the feel, nice bump, not harsh and a nice actuation. Comfortable for long typing sessions.
Built two. Used sockets on the second one which works out much better. Can someone tell me where to get the firmware? All the references I've found have cryptic information that means nothing to me. I need simple and plain language instructions, please.
I am writing this review on my old brand new 28.09.1990 IBM Model M keyboard. So happy with the purchase of this adapter as it gave life to my keyboard that did not work on a modern PC anymore. I tried with three different ps2/usb converters and adapters and nothing worked. Then I found this board. The assembly was very easy and straightforward. Just remove the ribbon connectors and put them in the new board and that is it. Test it out before you put the keyboard back together as the ribbon for the LOCK lights can be but either or. Mine had 2 stages: Either num lock and scroll lock worked fine, but when i pressed caps lock they both went on and off, and the caps lock light didn't work, or with the band switched, caps lock works. but the scroll and num lock lights are reversed. I went with the second option and put the keyboard back together.
Also I had the 8 pin ROW ribbon and I just aligned it to the left where it says ROWS on the board and it works.
Going to look into the hotkey feature so as to make some for the missing windows buttons.
An awesome product that brings new life to an old device!
Every keyboard and macro pad I use has milky yellow switches, even my partner wanted me to change their switches to milky yellows. Competitively priced
Came with everything I needed and was straightforward to setup. Was my first time soldering and I didn’t use any practice kits before getting started on this, with some help from people on the KEEBD discord, it was a pretty painless process. SMD LEDs need special attention to the correct orientation
For all those QMK noobs like me: to use a keyboard config targetting a different mc:
qmk compile -e CONVERT_TO=helios
This automatically outputs UF2 and renames the pins of the config to match this mc.
Caps feel great to type with, and they look fantastic. Really happy with these keycaps!
